King Dude : “Fear Is All You Know”

On August 29, 2014, in English lang, Folk, Rock, USA, by admin

King Dude, promo video for “Fear is All You Know” from the new album “Fear” out now on Not Just Religious Music (USA) and Ván Records (EU). “Fear” was produced by the legendary Bill Rieflin (Ministry, Swans, Pigface, etc).

Video directed by Marielle Stobie, Cinematography by Emily Denton, Produced and Edited by TJ Cowgill.

Bio

Reverent as it is prophetic and stark, King Dude has previously shared his spiritual visions with releases on Dais, Avant!, Bathetic, Clan Destine, and Ván records. Pulling together the biblical sound and isolation of the bygone days of revelation with an atmosphere filled with hope and salvation, King Dude has woven his own brand of American music.
He brandishes many varied influences in his songwriting. Everything from British Folk, Americana, Country and Blues can be heard in his songs. Even the heavier sounds of Heavy Metal tend to sneak and slither it’s way into the King Dude canon. The resulting songs are much more of a modern day hymn then your average pop song.

King Dude’s music beg’s the soul to lift itself up from the darkness of ignorance, towards the ever shining glorious “Light” that exists outside of all of us yet that which we are eternally connected to and at once connects everyone on Earth.

Bio

Melnitsa (Мельница, Russian for windmill) is a Russian folk rock band. It was founded in 1999 by Natalia “Hellawes” O’Shea and Alexey “Chus” Sapkov around the remnants of a local folk band ‘Till Eulenspiegel’.

The band fuses Russian, Irish and other North European folk influences with guitar pop/rock. Natalia “Hellawes” O’Shea, the lead singer and primary songwriter, is an academic and a specialist in medieval European languages and cultures by day. Her expertise lends the typically complex fantasy-laden lyrics a degree of authenticity.

For the first several years the band had worked the club and festival circuit, earned a bona fide cult status in the folk-n-fantasy teenage sub-culture and released an acoustic album Doroga Sna (Дорога Сна, The Road of Dream) featuring the underground hit Gorets (Горец, Highlander) set to the Russian translation of Robert Burns’ Highland Harry Back Again.

Luck struck in 2005, when the lead single Nochnaya Kobyla (Ночная Кобыла, Night mare) off their second, more pop-infused album Pereval (Перевал, Mountain Pass) had been sneaked into rotation on Nashe Radio (the name and lyrics of the song are a complex allusion to Mara, a Norse mythical entity that caused nightmares). A grass-roots chart effort by fans propelled the song to No. 1 position in the “Best Of Year” chart, and the band to the small arena circuit (sparsely populated in Russia).

Their latest albums Zov Krovi (Зов Крови, Call of Blood) and Dikiye Travy (Дикие Травы, Wild Grasses, released early 2009) features the same lyrical and melody themes underscored by more rhythm section support from the band.

Carmine Scrocco (Brigante Parte III)

Dove so’ le mie mutande?
Non ho più le mie mutande!
E so’ brigante!
Ohhhhh…!!!

Forse gliele ho date al petroliere,
era simpatico però!
Mi ha regalato un pallone
e li ho dato tanta, tanta acqua!

Mi hanno chiesto un giardino
per seppellire
radioattività!
Radioattività!

C’è quello del mio vicino
tanto non mi ammalerò
proprio io ?!?
No-no-no-no-no-no!

Musica!
(Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!)

Dove so’ le mie mutande?
Non ho più le mie mutande!
E so’ brigante!
Ohhhhh…!!!

Forse gliele ho date al politico,
era simpatico però!
Mi ha regalato la maglietta di Messi,
E li ho dato tanta, tanta terra!

Mi hanno costruito il palazzetto
dello sport!
Dello sport!
Dello sport!

Posso andarci quando voglio
tanto è rimasto…
a metà!
Ahahahahahahah!
