Die Krupps, “Kaltes Herz”, new single released on 23rd October 2015, taken from the new double album “V – Metal Machine Music”.
Label: Steamhammer / Oblivion / SPV.
Video Production by Sami Yahya.

Bio

A long time before Rammstein and Co., DIE KRUPPS set in 1991, with their pioneering album “I”, on which was the industrial metal classic “Metal Machine Music”, clear benchmarks and – not only in Germany – new standards in electronic music combined with hard rock riffs. The serie of the numbered albums was continued with “II – The Final Option”, with other classics like “To The Hilt” and “Fatherland”, which helped the next albums “III – Odyssey of the Mind” and “Paradise Now” to enter the European Official Top 20. With this sound DIE KRUPPS paved in Europe once and for all the way for the present in the USA rising and also in Germany increasingly becoming more popular industrial metal bands.

The determining impulse for this musical crossover is due to the collaboration of DIE KRUPPS-founder Jürgen Engler and the trash metal band Accuser from Siegen on “I”, which he produced and signed for his metal label ATOM H in the late ’80s, and whose drummer now returned, after 2 decades, again back to DIE KRUPPS, to replace live the rhythm machine.

Another important co-fighter during the rock phase of the ’90s was Lee Altus, at that time Heathen, today Exodus, who collaborated on the next albums. The heavy guitar sound combined with driving sequencers made DIE KRUPPS the epitome of innovation: it is this mix, which best can be described as Metal Machine Music, that made their music timeless and which is even after 20 years still a guarantee for full dancefloors and energetic live shows.

On the 28th of August 2015 DIE KRUPPS return, with their new release “V – Metal Machine Music”, back to their distinctly guitar-based sound. On the new songs the hardness degree is even more increased! Stylistically the circle is completed with the new record, although DIE KRUPPS never before combined so extremely brutal guitars and heavy sequencers with each other. It can be felt during the upcoming shows. The line-up is completed by both DIE KRUPPS maschinists Ralf Dörper (synthesizer) and Marcel Zürcher (guitar), musicians Volker Borchert from Accuser (drums) and Nils Finkeisen (guitar).

Monoloc : “Things”

On March 10, 2015, in Germany, Techno, by admin

Monoloc, “Things” (Monoloc edit).
Track taken from the “Things” EP, on sale now at Beatport : bit.ly/CLR083.

Bio

Monoloc was born in the year 1980 in Frankfurt am Main. At the age of sixteen he first got in touch with the blooming electronic music scene of this techno metropolis and soon bought his first records. Since then his life mainly revolves around one big challenge, namely the manifestation of his musical vision in form of dj sets and own productions.

Soon after starting to dj, Monoloc already received his first bookings in Frankfurt´s clubs. It only took a few more years before he also purchased his first synthesizers and started to work on his first proper productions. The feedback was very good from beginning on, which helped him with the decision to take things to another level and move his provisional production setup from his basement to a rented, professional studio room in Frankfurt´s artist district Nordend. Without any doubt a trend-setting move, as he found himself with direct studio neighbors Chris Liebing and Brian Sanhaji. After a couple of years of good neighborship, they started to increasingly collaborate and found out how similar their personal tastes actually were. The rest is history. Nowadays Chris Liebing helps actively with the mix-down of Monoloc´s tracks in his own studio and Brian Sanhaji finally polishes them right next door with his acclaimed mastering skills.

Since 2008 Monoloc is successfully running his own label Smallroom Music, releasing own productions and tracks by other promising or established artists. In the same year the close relationship with CLR started, which he appreciates equally for its professionalism and its friendly basis. After releasing many original productions and remixes on various respected labels, his first artist album entitled “Drift” was released in November 2012 on CLR. During the one and a half years long production phase, he has gotten closer than ever to his original musical vision and is currently also more than ever in demand as a dj.

Monoloc is a musically versatile artist who likes to get lost in his sonic worlds, taking freely all kinds of influences from different genres to incorporate them into his productions. In spite of this, his heart beats strongly for techno – or to say it in other words – in tune with the heartbeat of his hometown Frankfurt, which has inspired him so generously.
