Straight Opposition : “Burning the Green Jacket”, from the album “Fury Stands Unbeaten”, available on Indelirium Records.
Straight Opposition, born in Pescara near the end of 2003 by Ivan Parbone (drums), Luca Di Simone (guitar), Alex Stinziani (bass) and Ivan Di Marco (vocals). In October 2004, the band comes up with the first promo (temple of noise studios – Roma) following the ideas of bands like Biohazard, Turmoil and Downset. After this promo, the band start with a lot of live shows and with the creation of new songs. These songs are fast and violent, similar to bands like Terror, Turmoil and Hatebreed . In March 2005, they recorded a song for the compilation “Acme React” , also in October 2005, they recorded at Kutso noise home (Roma) a song for the Punkster’s compilation , “Map of the Etnies”. In December, the band stopped with live shows (which were at least 35 in a year) and started the recording (at Kutso Noise Home) of the first full length album called “Step by Step” ( IDR013) . Straight Opposition calls itself “positive hardcore” because their lyrics incite to refuse every sort of passive attitude in front of the degrading and enslaving sides of mass society . The word “positive” is referred to the positive attitude applied to the concepts of “struggle”, “unity” and “critical reason”.

Animalhaus’ style of hardcore infused punk rock( as heard in their other song, ‘the dope’) has done something amazing in the suburban Philadelphia punk/hardcore scene…it has brought it together.
Animal Haus was formed in the spring of 2010, but the idea was born years ago when John Barlow and Ziggy were on the road with their old band, Barricade. Even though they enjoyed every minute on the road with their old project they knew they wanted to do something else, something that brought their love of hardcore back to its roots and, more importantly, back to being fun. With a line-up secure, the Haus recorded its demo in May, 2010, and it quickly made its rounds through the local scene and continues to spread far and fast. With the strength of the demo behind them, Animal Haus wasted no time in writing and recording a full length record (to be released late spring/summer 2011).
