Industrial metal / gothic metal from St. Peterburg, Russia.

Bio

Laufderzeit (German for “the passing of time” ) are a band from St. Petersburg, Russia, founded in September 2012 by guitarist and songwriter Manul’ом, who was later joined by the ex-vocalist of the band Frau Falter, Konstantin Brand.

Their musical style can be described as “Electro Sympho Gothic Metal”. Their German name comes from the influence on the band of gothic metal artists from Germany, such as Megaherz, Unheilig, Crematory and others.

Their first performance took place on January 25, 2014, opening for the cult German band Eisbrecher in the Aurora club, St. Petersburg, after which the group immediately received rave reviews. Following this, the band then supported darkwave band Das Ich in April 2014, as well as performing live at various venues in St. Petersburg, such as the Backstage Club, Waiting Room, MOD club and Stoker.

In April 2014, work was completed on their first studio album, called “Die Grenzen Der Zeit” (“The Limits of Time”). It was released initially in a limited edition and is now available for purchase in electronic form on the portal www.muzicona.com. The album contains 10 songs, among which the audience favorites include “Do it”, “Death Wish” and “Among The Bare Branches”.

Laufderzeit - Give Me A Sign

Black Asteroid feat. Cold Cave, “Black Moon”.

Filmed in a single day, in a nondescript industrial space in Los Angeles, in the heat of the summer―”Black Moon” incorporates the industrial roots of Black Asteroid with the fashion aesthetic of Rick Owens. The track itself presents hard techno elements with vocals you wouldn’t necessarily associate with the underground. Coming out fresh on CLR as a single, this track brings you back to electronica of the 80s. A whirlwind of leather and neon tubes presented through a psychedelic visualizer.

Click Click, “Rats In My Bed”, from the Album “Those Nervous Surgeons” (2014).

Bio

Click Click is a British electro-industrial music band formed in 1982 by Adrian Smith, and Derek E. Smith, after the end of their previous rock project “Those Nervous Surgeons” (which formed in 1976 with bassist Tim Wilson). When Wilson bought their first synthesizer, (an EDP Wasp), the direction of the group changed so dramatically they renamed themselves.

In 1982, the group acquired guitarist Richard Camp from another band and thus the first experimental synth-rock incarnation of Click Click was born. They cut their first single later that year, but Camp departed over creative issues and formed a blues band.

Influenced by artists such as Brian Eno, Cabaret Voltaire, The Residents and Frank Zappa, and of course Blade Runner, Clive Barker and “mind-expanding” substances, Click Click continued on with other revolving members down a more electronic path until their eventual break up around 1990. Other members included guitarist Jon Morris, who was replaced by Graham Stronach in 1987, and Pete Hosier who remained with the group until the end.

After a 7 year hiatus, Adrian and Derek reformed briefly in 1997 to record Shadowblack on the OffBeat label. The album was more EBM than their earlier work and almost completely instrumental. It was greeted with overall positive reviews within the underground music scene. Due to the member’s volatile relationship however, the band split again in 1998, with no current plans for another reunion.

A Click Click vinyl release was issued on NYC-based Sonic Groove Records in 2004, but it is most like that only Adrian was involved, but that is still unclear. Throughout the 2000s, Adrian has been involved with Paperhouse, a darker ambient soundtrack project. Nothing has been released publicly, aside from a few odd compilation appearances, but at least 4 CD-R releases are known to exist: Bug Sun, Sappho, Frey, and Sammlung. In addition, three Click Click CD-Rs surfaced offering odd unreleased and remixed material: Lung Function, Crushed, and Behind Dark Glasses.

The summer of 2008 brought the news that Click Click’s back catalogue would be available again,[1] this time via various download platforms including iTunes. The material will come in remastered versions and will also include the early catalogue. Lung Function, a compilation of remastered singles, was released on iTunes, Amazon digital service and eMusic in 2008.

“The Perfect Cult” will be out on June 13th (EU), June 16th (UK) and June 24th in US.

The Swedish industrial rock band DEATHSTARS returns with a blast when they release their long anticipated fourth studio album “The Perfect Cult”.

While their predecessor, 2009’s »Night Electric Night« was spawned with the band fairly off the hook of their »Termination Bliss« touring cycle, only to see the band hitting the road yet again. For the upcoming new output, DEATHSTARS finally managed to give themselves the needed time span to work in a “calm and methodic manner, fully exploring the music writing process which resulted in the most dramatic Deathstars album to date.”

Besides their many headlining tours around the world over the years, the band also joined RAMMSTEIN’s sold out arena streak for their “Made In Germany 1995-2011” European Tour 2011/2012. At the same time they released »The Greatest Hits On Earth«, a compilation presenting a decade of their tracks, released via Nuclear Blast.
“The Perfect Cult” has been captured in several studios: drums, guitars and bass were recorded in Bohus Sound Recording, Kungälv Sweden, vocals in Gig Studios in Stockholm, Sweden and keyboards, orchestration and editing was done in Black Syndicate, Stockholm. While the mix as usual was handled by legendary Stefan Glaumann (RAMMSTEIN, WITHIN TEMPTATION), guitarist/keyboardist Nightmare took.
